FRONT DOOR, CAVITY SLIDER FRAMES, SHOWER NICHES AND MORE EAVES

Front Door was installed end of last week along with the Shower niches and the cavity slider frames.
Eaves are 90% done now just across the front to be finished off which was being done this morning when I drove past.


Can't wait to see changes once gyprock and Garage door installed.

PROGRESS UPDATE - INSULATION

Had site visit with SS on Friday to check electrical all ok before they begin installing insulation and plasterboard.


Only 2 p/points that needed to be moved and a gas point.


Insulation started early this week and eaves started yesterday.
Front door on site ready to be installed.


Spoke with SS yesterday and gyprocker is behind so probably wont get to our job till mid next week.


Had a small problem arise with the stairs from the laundry - MJH had drawn them wrong but has now been rectified at no cost to us.


Acoustic insulation is only installed on internal walls not walls that are external so waiting on reply from email sent to MJH today in relation to this. At no point were we advised this is the practice and considering our master bedroom consists of 2 brick walls and 1 wall of glass doors the only points of acoustic insulation are on the two small walls of the WIR - pretty much a waste of acoustic insulation which had we been made aware would have used it in another room.

ROOF COMPLETE

Our roof is now on. Very impressive to drive around the corner and see it finished - the house looks so much bigger now - the 26 degree pitch roof looks awesome.


Electrical rough in this week then plaster once we have met on site to confirm electrical is correct.


It is awesome to watch it change throughout the build - cant wait till the internals start.

GUTTERS, EAVES AND ROOF

Gutters and Eaves started on Tuesday with Roof started Thursday.
All should be completed today.


Then they do electrical rough in and begin putting up internal walls.

BRICKS - CONTINUED

Bricks are going up at a great rate. All still on track to be completed by end of week.


Scaffolding set up today so they can now finish off the front sections.

BRICKS ARE GOING UP.

Last Wed, Thurs & Fri our brickwork begun. They laid as much as they could at the front in the first few days so they can work uninterrupted this week at the back whilst the scaffolding is erected then they can go back and finish off.


Very happy with the high quality of work done so far.
Looking forward to seeing it all done.
