PROGRESS UPDATE - KITCHEN BENCH TOPS INSTALLED

Met on site with SS early this morning to inspect tiles for 2 time - original tiles delivered were wrong - MJH error so take 2 on tile inspection was a success.

Tiler was on site so able to run through tiling with him to ensure they would be laid correctly.

Very nice surprise was that our bench tops had been installed to the kitchen with vanity tops to go in once tiling done and vanities installed.

So awesome seeing our house take shape.

Few hiccups have slowed the trade for the past 2 weeks - first issue was all the internal doors were wrong with selection made on day and selection on contract not the same.
Word of advice to all to check and re-check your selections before signing off on them if you are not sure as they are coded ask them to show you what that selection is again to ensure they have keyed the correct items.

Our doors were keyed with 2 digit difference from what we chose and we did not pick that up when looking at the code on selections so the doors were inturn wrong.

Tiles were picked up by MJH at time of ordering back in Feb as they had keyed outdoor tiles but unfortunately they were not changed to correct selection by CLO even after email correspondence so as a result we had to delay tiling by a week whilst they got new tiles delivered.

Our SS had been on a months leave so we were having to deal with other people not as familiar with our job. Thankfully our SS is back from leave so everything seems to be back on track.

Tilers will be on site from today till Tuesday next week with painters scheduled to start next Tuesday.

From there on it is just fit out of electrical, appliances and flooring.

Have been advised delays with doors and tiles have not impacted the handover date and we are still on track for Mid September if not earlier.
